🔹Cyber Attacks on Government Sites: An 18-year-old from Gujarat was arrested for over 50 cyberattacks targeting government websites following the launch of 'Operation Sindoor.' The attacks involved DDoS methods coordinated via Telegram.

• Rise in Sophisticated Cyber Threats: Cybercriminals are increasingly using AI, deepfake scams, phishing, and spyware to target individuals, businesses, and critical sectors, causing large financial losses and threatening national security.

• Fake Amazon Call Center Scam: Andhra Pradesh police busted a cyber fraud syndicate operating a call center that defrauded U.S. citizens through impersonation and gift card scams, leading to 33 arrests and seizure of assets.

• ATM Card Cloning Fraud: A former Bhopal MLA lost ₹6.84 lakh due to an ATM card cloning scam involving skimming devices at an ATM booth, revealing the risks of physical and digital vulnerabilities.

• Cyber Support Centre in Rajasthan: To combat cybercrime effects, Rajasthan inaugurated its first Cyber Support Centre in Jaipur, providing free psychological, legal, and technical assistance to victims, aiming to improve awareness and recovery.

1️⃣Teen Arrested for 50+ Cyberattacks on Government Sites During Operation Sindoor

 An 18-year-old from Gujarat, Jasim Shahnawaz Ansari, was arrested by the Gujarat ATS for carrying out over 50 cyberattacks on Indian government websites. These attacks, mostly DDoS, escalated after the launch of India's 'Operation Sindoor' in response to a terror incident in Pahalgam. Ansari, using skills learned from YouTube and tools like Termux and GitHub, targeted critical sectors such as defense, finance, and aviation. He operated via a Telegram group named "AnonSec" with other juveniles, spreading anti-India content. The case underscores how easily accessible digital tools can be exploited for cybercrime.




2️⃣  India & the World Confront a Surge of Sophisticated Cyber Threats 

India is witnessing an alarming rise in cybercrime, ranging from deepfake investment scams, business email fraud, ransomware, and impersonation to cross-border espionage and psychological manipulation. High-profile individuals, private firms, senior citizens, and defense systems have been targeted. Criminals are using AI, spoofed identities, spyware, and phishing to deceive victims and bypass digital defenses. Authorities have responded with arrests and regulatory enhancements, but the growing scale and sophistication of these attacks underscore the urgent need for stronger cybersecurity infrastructure, digital awareness, and public vigilance.


3️⃣33 Arrested in Andhra for Cyber Scam Targeting U.S. Citizens via Fake Amazon Calls


Andhra Pradesh police busted a fake call center in Achyutapuram that posed as Amazon support, scamming U.S. citizens through VoIP calls. The four-layer operation included spoof calls, impersonation, gift card fraud, and crypto laundering. Thirty-three people were arrested, with major operatives from Maharashtra and Rajasthan. The syndicate reportedly earned crores monthly. Assets were seized, and charges were filed under BNS, IT Act, and IPC for identity theft and organized cybercrime.


4️⃣Former Bhopal MLA Loses ₹6.84 Lakh in ATM Card Cloning Scam

A former MLA in Bhopal lost ₹6.84 lakh after fraudsters cloned his ATM card using skimming devices installed at an ATM booth. Over 54 unauthorized transactions occurred between February and May before the fraud was discovered. Authorities are reviewing CCTV footage and tracing the stolen funds. Citizens are advised to stay alert and monitor bank activity to avoid such scams.


5️⃣ Rajasthan Launches First Cyber Support Centre in Jaipur 

Rajasthan has opened its first Cyber Support Centre at the Jaipur Police Commissionerate to assist cybercrime victims. Supported by the Kogta Foundation and a Mumbai NGO, the center offers free psychological, legal, and technical help. With around 3,000 cybercrime cases annually and ₹1,581 crores lost in three years, this initiative aims to boost awareness, recovery, and victim support.
